"Apres Ski" means different things to different people! But I think most parents would agree this is the best kind...for the kids.
I suppose this is basically what you are looking for in a perfect place to stay. And I hope the end of each of your days brings you this kind of peace...my guess is that it will. So, here's the important part: Where to stay? This is usually the huge question, shortly following the mental financial math you had to do after booking your flights. We are going to try to make this a little easier for you, too.
What sort of accommodations are you looking for? Big Sky ski vacations can be anything from the huge single family ski in/ski out lodge to the stay-a-night-or-two hotel. The important things to consider: 1)how far do you want to be from the Big Sky Resort? 2)have your own transportation to and from the resort? 3)will you be renting equipment? 4) is everyone in your party coming to ski or do you need a good fireplace and a small library for some?

All the links are here: It may interest you to know that there are several local rental management companies that really know their properties and are quite capable of matching you with what you are looking for...in addition, the important advantage is that they are in town and can rectify any not-so-happy surprises that can occur any time you rent remotely. We have added the big corporate folks who can book for you, too. We will even occasionally mention any other specials the big dudes have since they help pay for the site.
PLACES TO STAY These are links to places that you should look into...they are the places that are situated by themselves and standard issue is beautiful and interesting. Be sure to check to see if they provide transportation to and from the resort. I know that 320 Guest Ranch has a shuttle running all day and Bucks T4 is on the bus route. These are the big guys that make up the resort, of course and they can take care of some of the details you may be trying to take care of and save some money. I certainly understand how the budget plans the vacation. Although these guys like for you to think that their respective resorts are destination vacations, you will miss alot that is Big Sky if you only experience what is on their property.
There are religious services available and we are still gathering the details for the forthcoming winter season. There are sunrise services on the mountain that you can ski to. But without a gondola this year, you will have to take Swift Current ski lift and ski in to the service - it's at the top of Mr. K. (aha! Ski in Ski out church - who'da thunk it?)
